In this sermon, Dr. Lake looks at the life of Jesus from the standpoint that "He was a man just like other men. He met every challenge of the soul, just as you and I have to meet it. But Jesus willed to do God's Will and to know God's Will." Points: How to enter the will of God - two phases. Jesus first dedicates Himself. The extent of Jesus' dedication. The result of His Dedication. "Most folks mean their consecration on the day they are baptized, and then forget it the first time that the devil appears, or they get a pain in the stomach. It was a forever business with the Lord Jesus. Get that forever thing into YOUR soul and spirit. There never was a time in history when the world needed a demonstration that the Lord could keep people forever, under every condition, as much as it does today."

Previously in Part 1: Jesus functioned as a Man among men....with the same temptations, tests and trials. He met every challenge of the soul that you have to met. But Jesus willed, in those challenges to do the will of God and to know the will of God in His every response. Two phases to entering the will of God: the surrender of your will to do the Will of God; recognize yourself as God's son and man's servant. He provided salvation for the spirit/soul/body. If you are fascinated by the life of John G. Lake and/or want to live the kind of supernatural life that he lived, you must take yourself out of the hands of the world, and put yourself totally over into the Hands of God for YOUR spirit/soul/body. Dr. Lake has observed many Christians who trust God for spiritual salvation, but then they turn to the world for their soul and body. He is very directly challenging us to come up higher. Dr. Lake is sharing one general thought in this sermon: The presence of Christ. "One of the things the Christian world does not get hold of with a STRONG GRIP is the fact of His Presence with us NOW. It would naturally seem as if a separation had occurred because of His Return to Glory, but NO SUCH SEPARATION is contemplated on the part of Christ. Christ promises His omnipotent presence with us always. Jesus is just as close to the Christian soul as He was to Paul. There is a beautiful verse that expresses that so sweetly, 'Closer is He than breathing, and nearer than hands and feet'. Jesus is The Anointed One. His Presence is The Anointing with you. Because of life, you aren't always aware of The Anointing. Church services and Gospel meetings help you to 'tune in' to what is there all the time. Dr. Lake gives some good sound instruction in the 'how to's' of cultivating your awareness of the Anointing even without being in a Gospel service. Kenneth E Hagin said: "I am more aware of God's Presence than I am of my own wife lying next to me in bed...." Something there to think about!

Previously: Jesus, the Man, tested in the wilderness lived out the will of God that He learned from the Spirit and the Word. His Life is your example. He dedicated Himself to do the will of God.....spirit, soul and body. He was baptized in the Holy Spirit. He faced Satan. When He went into the wilderness, He had the Spirit. When He came out, the Spirit HAD Him. Today: "The Result of the Wilderness Testing" Jesus came out of the wilderness in the Power of the Spirit. He was ready to go out and demonstrate what Christianity is. Everybody wants to jump in and preach, but bless God, when we are willing to go through with Jesus in that 'getting ready' process, then it will be with effectiveness, it will be with power, it will be with the Love of God. He is NOT physically a tangible substance, but spiritually a tangible substance. When hands are laid on you in faith for healing or any other impartation, the actual Substance of the Holy Spirit - His Life, flows into you - spiritually. John G Lake on Dominion Over Disease- John G Lake was an early pioneer in the Pentecostal movement of the early twentieth century. During his time in South Africa, they experienced one of their greatest revivals. Lake would then make his way to Spokane, Washington. Here he saw over 100,000 healings in the five years. Spokane was declared the healthiest city in America. At one time during a plague outbreak, Lake was able to demonstrate that when the plague virus was placed into his hands, they died. John G. Lake, was a leader in the Pentecostal movement that began in the early 20th century, and is known as a faith healer, missionary, and with Thomas Hezmalhalch, co-founder of the Apostolic Faith Mission of South Africa. During his African missionary work, Lake played a decisive role in the spread of Pentecostalism in South Africa, the most successful southern African religious movement of the 20th century. John G. Lake - Doctors, The Devil Or Divine Healing?

This sermon of Dr. Lake is taken from the book, "Dominion Over Demons, Disease and Death". Though it may seem to start off a little 'slow', just stick with it - it is full of power. You will hear Dr. Lake's testimony of the bubonic plague virus dying in his hand. He was asked what caused this. His answer: "The Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus". You will feel the 'fire of God' burn in your bones when you hear this. We all must learn about this life and then LEARN TO LIVE IT.
